The Founders

Deepa Varadarajan
Deepa brings over a decade of experience in philanthropy advisory and grant assessments including due diligence, monitoring and evaluation. She has worked with Asha for Education-Dallas (volunteer capacity), GiveIndia, Dasra and India Philanthropy Initiative (housed under Azim Premji Foundation), in the past. She built the HNI Giving vertical at GiveIndia to engage and assist over 50 HNI/UHNI families in personal philanthropy by providing customized solutions to meet their philanthropic objectives. Her experience further expands to close engagement with NGOs, experts, grant-management and grant monitoring.
Manisha Joshi
An entrepreneur with an Engineering (VJTI) and MBA (NMIMS) background, Manisha has groomed and managed 2 IT ventures called RetailNet (I) Pvt Ltd and Kennovation Software Services in her previous avatar before making the switch to the development sector in 2011. Manisha has been working in the sector in various capacities. She was part of the HNI Giving team at GiveIndia where she managed grant portfolios for families and individuals. She also extended the reach of HNI Giving to Singapore. She has been associated with Dasra and Humane Society International/India and works with the Maharashtra State Government as a Steering Committee Member for their drought proofing mission.

The Team

Atish Jadhav
Atish comes with over a decade’s experience in the finance and development sector. He has worked on the field carrying out project verifications, due diligence, and monitoring and evaluation. His previous stint in the development sector was with GiveIndia where he traveled across remote locations in different states of India conducting over 200 verification visits and due diligence of over 80 NGOs. Atish is a commerce graduate and holds a certification in the Para Professional course of Social Work from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Works
Deeksha Trehan
​Deeksha is a social impact professional with 8+ years of experience in needs assessment, fundraising, program management, and impact evaluation. As an independent consultant, she worked with Augeo Advisors on impact evaluations and multi-country market assessments in the K-12 education sector and with Catalysts for Social Action on evaluating institutional care programs. She has also contributed to initiatives in drinking water, maternal and child health, education, road safety, and skill development at SaveLIFE Foundation, Action Against Hunger India, and Piramal Sarvajal. Deeksha holds a B.A. in Economics (Hons.) from Miranda House, University of Delhi, and an M.A. in Development Studies from TISS, Mumbai. She has also been a recipient of prestigious scholarships from IOCL and the Ministry of Education. In her free time, she enjoys reading non-fiction, volunteering and exploring graphology.

Karunya Singh Bisht
Karunya is a young published author currently pursuing his Bachelor's in Economics from Ashoka University. He is currently working as a dynamic consultant at Pramiti Philanthropy Partners, where he plays a pivotal role in managing the organization's social media presence on LinkedIn. Being an avid writer with a background in finance, he brings a unique blend of analytical and creative skills to his work. Karunya's passion for effective communication and digital marketing is evident in his ability to craft compelling content that resonates with Pramiti’s diverse audience.
Minal Jain
Minal is passionate about the environment and sustainability, has volunteered with various environmental conservation groups and also writes extensively on these subjects. During her 2-decade long career with Cathay Pacific, she was also part of the Cathay Staff Charity Board and led several sustainability initiatives that resulted in the airline redesigning some of its business processes. She is also familiar with the GRI Standards and GHG Protocol Standards. With post graduate degrees in Finance and Economics, she worked for 4 years with a social enterprise, designing and delivering financial literacy programmes for school children and adults from underprivileged backgrounds. Her diverse work experience includes a 9 year entrepreneurial venture in the technology industry.


Monika Rochlani
Monika has been associated with the social sector for the past six years. She believes that relevant data is crucial for taking decisions and this aspect needs improvement in the sector. Being a cost accountant and having spent a decade in the corporate sector she has varied experience in finance, training, capacity building and due diligence. She has worked in financial services sector with reputed companies like ICICI bank, IDBI bank etc., and in the social sector with GuideStar India and S P Jain Institute of Management and Research. She is passionate about plants and runs a start-up named POTS (Plants on the Shelf).
Puja Shah
Balancing her passion for learning with a deep commitment to education and community development, Puja brings a unique blend of passion and purpose to everything she does. With a background in media and communication, Puja's journey led her to the Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation, where she spearheaded impactful initiatives in Education Grants and Scholarships, leaving a lasting legacy. Now, at Pramiti, Puja continues to champion projects in education, livelihood, skilling, sports, and health, serving as a driving force behind transformative change.


Sharada
Sharadha, a finance professional joined the social sector in 2014 after working in telecom and housing finance for over a decade. She started her social sector journey with GiveIndia in the HNI Giving team before joining Foundation for Excellence where she has worked with large foundations, corporates and HNI donors. She then moved to capacity building with her assignment at Dhwani Foundation where she closely worked with rural grassroot NGOs curating and managing their training in fundraising and donor management. Sharadha is passionate about the cause of rural grassroot organisations working closely with the community and continues to support them through various engagements
Shubham Joshi
A highly adaptable professional with a novel combination of Chemical Engineering and a Master's in Development, Shubham is the youngest member of the Pramiti team. He found his true calling during his stint with a Fortune 100 company, quit the job, and has worked in diverse environments in the development sector since then. Shubham is passionate about civic issues and ecological sustainability and is involved in key strategy projects at Pramiti. On the one hand, he is a sport-lover and an outdoorsy person; enjoys cycling, running, and hiking. On the other hand, he enjoys writing Hindi poetry.


Soniya Nagwekar
Soniya has over 10 years of experience, both in the corporate world as well as in the development sector. Through the years, she has worked with organizations such as GiveIndia, Dasra, United Way Mumbai and Milaap; during which she has provided support to non-profits in fundraising as well as HNI’s & UHNI’s with their philanthropic portfolios. Soniya has a strong foundation in research & analysis and relationship management.
Consultants
Pallavi Lotlikar
Pallavi has worked in the development sector since 2009 as a child rights paralegal. Her experience in child rights advocacy ranges from the field of elementary education to disability. She worked as a project manager with Saraswati Mandir Trust, an NGO working for inclusion of children with disability into the mainstream. She drove their initiative to include children with disabilities into regular schools and has also represented children before the State Child Rights Commission in violation of their Right to Education. Pallavi has secured Post-graduate Diplomas in Child Rights Law from the National Law School, Bangalore, as well as in Social Communication and Media from The Sophia B.K Somani Polytechnic. Before making a career shift to Child Rights Advocacy, she worked as a news reporter and journalist with Bloomberg UTV and CNBC.


Pallavi Patil
Pallavi’s experience has spanned across technology, business and development sector consulting in organizations such as TCS, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Pratham Education Foundation amongst others. Her ability to convert ideas into projects while working with multiple stakeholders and building efficiency through standardization has helped in setting up the grassroots entrepreneurship program for Pratham Institute and in establishing a Projects Office for a fast-growing social enterprise. Her ability to work across multiple stakeholders stands her in good stead, especially in the development sector.
